What Is Effluent Treatment Plants
A wastewater treatment process (WWTP) that is used to treat wastewater is referred to as an Effluent Treatment Plant, or ETP. It is mostly utilized in sectors like pharmaceuticals, textiles, and chemicals where there is a risk of severe water contamination.
Domestic sewage and industrial wastewater are both treated in large part by effluent treatment plants. In the wastewater treatment process of an ETP plant, organic matter, inorganic matter, heavy metals, oil & grease, suspended particles, and other impurities are treated.
There are various types of wastewater treatment plants, including chemical, biological, combined chemical and biological, and thermal.
Benefits of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
- To decrease the amount of freshwater used in the industry
- To lower the cost of purchasing water
- To comply with the government’s guidelines for pollution emissions and avoid facing severe penalties
- To protect the environment from pollution
- To purify industrial waste so that it can be recycled and used again
How does Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Plant Work?
The conceptual approach of the treatment include the clearance of suspended particles, the processing of dissolved organic matter, and the disposal of sludge. There are several processes at play:
pH Control –
The Bureau of Indian Standards specifies that the pH of effluent should range from 5.5 to 9.0. (BIS). Waste water’s pH can be changed using pH neutralizing.
The heavy particles sink to the bottom because water moves slowly in this process. The debris that collects at a container’s bottom is referred to as sludge.
The raw effluent from various processing units is balanced in the equalization tank. The wastewater is gathered in an already-existing mixed effluent tank and sent to an already-existing aeration tank, which also serves as an equalization tank. Before being pumped to the neutralization tank for treatment, the effluent is homogenized using the floating aerator.
Water is filtered by running it through a device that traps particles. Sand and gravel layers are used to create the filters. These filters must be regularly cleaned through backwashing.
Water is cleaned and disinfected before it is distributed. Water is cleaned and disinfected with chlorine.
Coagulation is a process that includes mixing untreated water with liquid aluminum sulfate. Due to the mixing that results, small dirt particles stick together. Through settling and filtration, it is simple to remove the bigger, heavier particles created by the combination of these smaller ones.
Sludge drying –
Solids are gathered and brought to drying beds by settling during sedimentation. The sludge charging should be halted and the bed separated so that natural evaporation can dry it out after the sludge thickness reaches around 300 mm. It takes about ten days to do this.

Powder Coating ETP
Our ETP is designed to treat the waste water generated from Powder coating process used for surface finishing.
Our ETP is designed to treat the waste coolant water generated from all type machining activities in Industries.
Our ETP is designed the treat the water containing Chrome/Nickle metal generated from Electroplating Industries.
Textile Industries Effluent Treatment Plant
Waste generated in textile industry is essentially based on water- based effluent generated in the various processes. Textile industry originates a complex huge volume of waste water containing various chemical used in dyeing, printing and finishing processes. Many dyes which causes intensive color in the waste water. The effluent generated in different step or processes is well beyond the standard and thus it is highly polluted and dangerous.
Pharma Effluent Treatment Plant
Pharma Effluent Treatment Plant is coordinated with a propelled film hindrance innovation that diminishes treatment concoction cost and guarantees superb profluent at all circumstances. It is outlines as a particular framework that retrofits existing treatment tanks and foundation. The waste produced from pharmaceutical organizations is very hard to treat with ordinary physical, synthetic and natural treatment frameworks as it elements high compound oxygen request (COD), stun burdens and variable quality waste streams.
Brewery Effluent Treatment Plants
In today’s brewery the released waste is profoundly natural in nature with high COD. It additionally contains effortlessly biodegradable solvent starch, sugars, ethanol and unstable unsaturated fats. The waste for the most part is made out of paper, glass, plastics, oils, cardboard, wood, natural slime, green buildups and other modern strong squanders. Other than this, surplus yeast and spent grains are created as by items. Our Brewery Effluent Treatment Plant can work in greatly confined spaces and furthermore requires less support and operational cost.
ETP for Food Industry
Food processing industry wastewater poses pollution problems due to its high COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) and BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand). Moreover the characteristics of wastewater depict wide variation due to the variation in the type of products manufactured and also the different fruits, vegetables and raw materials used. Many preservatives, color, salts, oil, sugar, gelatin etc. are added as per the requirement of production of various products, this adds to the pollution load.
Slaughter House Effluent Plants
Slaughterhouse wastewater contains diluted blood, protein, fat, and suspended solids, as a result the organic and nutrient concentration in this wastewater is vary high and the residues are partially solubilized, leading to a highly contaminating effect in riverbeds and other water bodies if the same is let off untreated.
Hospital Effluent Treatment Plants
Hospital Effluent Treatment Plant is a powerful answer for the sheltered transfer of the waste water created from healing facility squander as it contains more mind boggling and harmful suspended particles like blood stains, microscopic organisms and other pathogenic living beings.
Vehicle Washing Effluent Plant
Vehicle Washing Effluent Treatment Plant guarantees amazing reserve funds in crisp water consumption and radically diminishes release to channels. It actualizes a situation well-disposed strategy for the treatment of auto wash gushing that comprises of numerous contaminations like free oil and oil (FOG), surfactants and synthetic oxygen request (COD).
